 Future In Our Hands (FIOH)

   
¨ Results expected in the year 2009
  - Formed new 09 youth clubs and maintained 136 youth clubs
  - Enrolled 375 new youth memberships
  - 53 catchments conserved and maintained
  - 360 youth studied Tamil and Sinhala language
  - Conducted 22 seminar and educational support for the members
  - 70 youths gained vocational training
  - Established 182 organic home gardens
  - Established network among the youth
   
¨ Activities to achieve above result
  - Mobilizing youth to become members of youth clubs
  - Rehabilitating and maintaining and conservation of catchments
  - Conducting language classes to learn Tamil and Sinhala languages for the youths
  - Conducting seminars and educational support for O/L students
  - Providing assistance for students to attend to vocational training courses in Computer applications, Aluminum fabrications, Carpentry furniture and Masonary
  - Establishing of organic home-gardens
  - Facilitating to establish network among the youth

 Kinniya Vision (KV)

   
¨ Results expected in the year 2009
  - 165 youth received skills needed for employment through vocational training
  - Youth network involved in cultural and peace related activities
  - Exchange programs aimed towards peace building and sharing experience
   
¨ Activities to achieve above result
  - Providing vocational trainings to youth in Welding, Aluminium fitting, Driving, Heavy machine and vehicle operating, Pamyrah handicraft making, Motor cycle repair, Air conditioner repair, Computer hardware, Sewing and Food processing
  - Conducting youth club activities
  - Conducting peace building activities

 North East Rehabilitation Training and Research Association (NERTRA)

   
¨ Results expected in the year 2009
  - 260 students received catch up education including 180 students are re-admitted and 80 students continue for the second year
  - 13 teachers received training
  - 41 youth received skills needed for employment
  - Youth organized in to 10 youth clubs
   
¨ Activities to achieve above result
  - Providing catch-up education for students and teachers
  - Providing vocational trainings to youth in Palmyrah handicraft, Coconut handicraft and Coconut coir products
  - Strengthening of youth clubs and district youth network functioning

  - 600 youth received catch up education in order to return to schools
  - 600 parents taking part in awareness raising programmes
  - 45 youth received skills needed for employment
  - 694 youth organized in to youth clubs
  - 25 youth received start-up support funds
   
¨ Activities to achieve above result
  - Providing catch-up education for youth
  - Conducting awareness raising programmes for parents
  - Providing vocational trainings to youth in Computer hardware and Beauty culture
  - Conducting youth club activities
  - Providing start-up support funds

 Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL)

   
¨ Results expected in the year 2009
  - 150 students are graduated with vocational and entrepreneurial skills in Agriculture
   
¨ Activities to achieve above result
  - Selection of students based on their ability to undertake projects
  - Conducting trainings in 5 centres in Cheddikulam (Vavuniya District), Welimada, Bibile and Moneragala (in Uva Province) and Dehiattakandiya (in Eastern Province)
  - Maintain individual projects and group projects
  - Grant certificates based on performance

  - 80 youth received skills needed to gain employment
  - 80 parents received awareness on the importance of training on Vocational Training

  - Vocational trainings in Carpentry furniture, Electrician, Air condition & refrigerator and Beauty Culture
  - Parents awareness programmes
