  - Maintain 104 youth clubs
  - Enrolled 300 new youth memberships
  - 53 catchments conserved and maintained
  - 360 youth studied Tamil and Sinhala language
  - Conducted seminar and educational support for the 1200 students
  - 82 youths gained vocational training
  - Established 255 organic home gardens
  - Established network among the youth

  - Conduct discussions and create awareness for government and education
department officials and schools.
  - Conduct awareness programs for Community Based Organizations (CBO) and
Parents
  - Selection of candidates for cadet ships
  - TOT Follow up programmes
  - Conduct Eco/ peace education programmes and follow up programmes
  - Maintain street drama teams
  - Conduct training camps on Leadership and cadetship and follow up.

  - Mobilization, sensitization and organization of youths
  - Consultation and joint planning with youths
  - Vocational training need assessment/ market analysis
  - Survey/Identification and selection of school dropouts and school leavers who needs vocational training
  - Selection and designing vocational training package
  - Career guidance/orientation for trainees and parents
  - Conducting vocational skills trainings
  - Facilitating jobs search or self income generation activities for trained youths

 North East Rehabilitation Training and Research Association (NERTRA)

   
¨ Results expected in the year 2010
  - 158 students are re-admitted and 166 students continue for the second year
  - 15 teachers received training in order to provide catcup-eduction
  - Further strengthening of existing 10 youth clubs
   
¨ Activities to achieve above result
  1. Catch-up education
  - Discussions with education authorities and get approvals
  - Selection of the beneficiaries for catch up education
  - Teacher trainings
  - Parents meeting
  - Starting the catch up education classes
  - Providing the teaching and students materials
  - Field visit and monitoring (NERTRA, Principal and Education dept officials)

  - Conducting monthly meetings
  - Support and provide necessary assistance

 Women Development Centre (WDC)

   
¨ Results expected in the year 2010
  - 400 youth received catch up education in order to return to schools
  - 50 youth received skills needed for employment
   
¨ Activities to achieve above result
  1. Catch-up education
  - Conduct periodical staff meetings
  - Stakeholders meetings and conduct meeting with department of education and schools
  - Inauguration of catch up education
  - Cultural competition program
  - Field visits
  - Cricket & netball competitions will be held with other youth partners
  - Conducting parent’s awareness program
  - Conducting teacher’s trainings
   
  2. Youth activities
  - Selection of trainees
  - Conduct VT courses in Mobile Phone Repairing and Information Technology
  - Provide additional classes on languages

 Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL)

   
¨ Results expected in the year 2010
  - 150 students are graduated with vocational and entrepreneurial skills in Agriculture
   
¨ Activities to achieve above result
  - Selection of students with a positive attitude towards sustainable development.
  - Conducting trainings in 5 centres in Tirukkovil and Dehiattakandiya (in Eastern Province), Welimada and Bibile (in Uva Province) and Ambanpola (Kurunegala District)
  - Closer monitoring of animators to convince them about adopting the right training
approach, including follow up projects and facilitate trainees in competence building in planning.
  - Setting objectives and plans for the project, including continuous monitoring and
evaluation.
  - Resource mapping and baseline data gathering. Based on this OU will revise the
programme if necessary.
  Individual reports of performance: This will be essential to provide expert advice for the trainees and be helpful in the monitoring process.

 Sarvodaya

   
¨ Results expected in the year 2010
  - Vocational trainings for 365 youth conducted (225 at Batticaloa centre and 140 at Ampara centre)
   
¨ Activities to achieve above result
  - Youth receiving vocational trainings in Batticaloa Centre in Computer Application Asst, Motor bicycle Mechanic Course, Electrical House wiring & Plumbing, Food processor, Beautician course, Wood carving, Household Electrical Appliance Repairer and Baker course.
  - Youth receiving vocational trainings in Ampara Centre in Computer Applications, Aluminium Fabrication, House wiring, Mobile phone repairing, House Wiring and Plumbing, Tailoring, Juki machine and Beautician course. (includes continuation of 2009 )

 Social Welfare Organisation of Ampara Dist (SWOAD)

  - Vocational trainings in Carpentry furniture, Electrician, Air condition & refrigerator repairing, Mobile phone repairing, Wood carving and Beauty Culture. (includes continuations of 2009 programmes)
