CATCH UP
AND RETURNING TO EDUCATION |

This
programme brings back the students who have been out of
school for a short period back to school by providing catch
up tutoring. The programme
will also work with schools to tutor exceptional weak students
to retain them in schools. Many
of the partner organizations of the ODW programme are engaged
in this activity. In some cases, surveys are conducted to
identify the numbers of school dropouts and then action
is taken to return them to schools. |

In
some occasions special centres will be established to function
as education resource centres for this catch-up education
programmes. These will be beneficial for the dropouts who
are unable to return to the schools due to various causes
including age etc. The goal is to bring back 6780 dropouts
to school and provide catch up education by 2011. |
